From 2 September to 5 September 2007, the parish community of Santa Maria La Stella at completion of the Marian parish has experienced an exceptional event and unique: the visit of the reliquary containing the tears of the Madonna of Syracuse. The arrival took place at around 17.30 pm on 2 September, and despite the rain, falling abundant, there were many believers. The reception took place in the presence of our Bishop Pio Vittorio Vigo Reliquary arrived in the hands of the Rector of the Shrine Archbishop Michael Giansiracusa and was entrusted to our parish community. After the initial greeting has started a long and shared the procession which led the Reliquary supported by our pastor sac. Carmelo Sciuto along Via Maugeri and Via Santa Maria La Stella, up in the square.

The procession was opened by our banner, behind which were all bimbini First Communion seats in two long rows on either side of the road, behind a long line of faithful Reliquary. During the course has been recited S. Rosario, which was broadcast by a post amplification along the route, so that all the faithful could pray together. Arrival in the square to the Holy Mass was celebrated by His Excellency Bishop Paul Urso Bishop of Ragusa. The square was gremitissima of people with the presence of the mayors of Aci Sant'Antonio Acireale and, with their respective banners.

Immediately after the end of the Mass, the reliquary was brought to church and placed in a specially prepared altar. Day 3 September, the reliquary was conducted in the homes of people suffering who can not go to church. It was exciting to see these people who complains. Some shouted, Viva Maria, others full of emotion they said that they were not worthy to receive at their house at the Madonna. All have prepared a small altar in their homes that could accept with dignity the reliquary. In the afternoon of 3 September the arrival of the pilgrimage of Bees Parish Plan led by parish priest Rev. Sebastian Raciti and Holy Mass celebrated by the pastor. In the evening another exciting moment in the Mass celebrated by Bishop Giansiracusa in pitch, with the floral tribute of children to Madonna. Immediately after prayer vigil for young people, edited by the Episcopal Seminary.

4th day of September, the reliquary has visited the two homes found in Santa Maria La Stella as "Sirius" and "Villa dei Pini," with SS Masses celebrated respectively by Sac. Alfredo D'Anna and the Sac. Alfio Privitera. On the same morning Bishop Giansiracusa has returned to Syracuse and was replaced by Sac. Antonino Siringo (this comes from the Sanctuary of Syracuse). In late morning visit, exceptionally, outside the parish, the relics in a nursing home Aci Sant'Antonio. In the afternoon of 4 September the arrival of pilgrims from the parishes Fiandaca and Pennisi, led by their parish priest Don Salvatore Blanco with mess. Just after Mass celebrated by Fr Antonio Siringo with the conferral of the Sacrament of Anointing of the sick, the suffering of our parish. On the evening of 4 September, S. Mass celebrated by our parish priest, Don Carmelo Sciuto animated by families throughout the year reminding them the 1 °, 5 °, 10 °, 15 °, 20 °, 25 °, 30 °, 35 years of marriage, and Act of Consecration of the Family the Immaculate Heart of Mary, read in a very moving and touching, a married couple. The same evening the Etna we delighted in one of his spectacular eruption. September 5 Day Mass celebrated by Fr Antonio Siringo, animated by the children baptized in the last five years, from nursery school, with floral tribute to Madonna. In the afternoon arrival of the pilgrimage from the parish of Monterosso Etneo Lavinaio and led by their parish priest, Don Giuseppe Arcidiacono and Holy Mass celebrated by the pastor.

In the evening final poignant moment with the Mass back into the streets, celebrated by our Bishop Pio Vittorio Vigo The square beyond all expectations, being a weekday, it was full of worshipers.
